Caulfield Cup

Post by Darwin Scribe » Sat Oct 20, 2018 9:04 am

Well some time ago I thought Kings Will Dream's Mornington Cup win was a pointer to better big races and considering he has gone from benchmark and handicap racing to WFA and just getting fitter and fitter fills me with confidence. He is beautifully drawn to be prominent all the way and it would not surprise me if Williams decides to go early and do what he did in Mornington Cup and race away in straight. I particularly liked the run of CliffsofMoher last week. The jock was high in the stirrups down the side and came that wide on turn he was shaking hands with a punter on the fence.
Still managed to gather momentum and the extra 400m today and Hughie in saddle gives it a great each way chance. This Cup is always a tough race however because you need luck going out of straight first time.
