A few years back Col had a filly by the name of Colerne and she was nicely bred by Redoutes Choice out of a Fusaichi Pegasus mare. Well Colerne won first up over 1200m at Geelong but I am pretty sure she being a big filly had a problem, perhaps with a shoulder. Anyway she was not seen for a while but resumed at Pakenham on the synthetic over 1200 and won well again. However again the problem must have been enough to end her career. I thought on what she showed she had city potential for sure so she has gone to stud very lightly raced but having shown she had plenty of ability and at that untapped ability. Well at stud she has thrown a filly by Brazen Beau and I swear she is so much like her mother. If she can produce her mum's ability and to a sire who is going to get plenty of winners, probably more as three year olds, then Lord Lodge may have a horse to watch. She cost $250,000 and knowing COl does not spend big as a norm I think he knew how much Colerne had shown.
